this is an awesome click bait and the problem is most of the people clicking would be men!!

Sorry men.

I am asking babies, girls, and young women what kind of articles do they want to see here

Men who deal with women as clients or as advisers could also reply…please give me topics/questions

this is for a woman’s website where we will be doing some vlogs – video blogs – answering some of these questions

NO QUESTION is too stupid, to simple, too difficult, too hard….just go to the comment section and comment please…

thanks

  1. More info on wills. I know this is technically not a finance topic and more a lawyer topic perhaps but since wills are so important for financial stability after a loved one’s death, I would appreciate some more helpful tips on this.

Also – simple books on finance for kids / pre-teens / teens. I do read your blog regularly but would like to introduce financial literacy to an younger audience.

  2. I am regular reader of your blog. I would like information on following topics:
    1) Asset Allocation for Single Women
    2) How to make will in case of single women

  3. Vidya if you go to my blog and search for Wills you will find a few articles already

passionateaboutretail – see the topic Children and Money…you will find some stuff

  4. 1. How to manage wealth portfolio of husband if husband is too busy to manage it himself?
    2. What to look for in potential groom to check financial stability?
    3. What kind of critical illness cover should we opt for?
    4. How to manage monthly budget?
    5. Educating kids..Finance

  5. What is the role of House wife in financial planning for present and future prospective. How can we contribute to our family.
what are must do and can do activity for us.

  6. What are the things ( numbered list is easy to read and understand ) one should he/she AWARE of in case of eventualities happen ? Like…

1.email id and password and mob number linked to that email id. prime email which one is linked with banks and demat/trading account etc .
2.How many other emails does he/she have and their ids or passwords ..
3.List of trading accounts / demat accounts.id and passwords of all of them.

  7. 1. As a mother of a 22 yr old who has just started working, how do I convince kids of this generation to start investing a portion of their income for their future right from their first job when all they want to do is to save for vacations with friends
    2. It would be good if there is an article on the pros and cons of doing reverse mortgage versus renting out if you have a second house/property
    3. How to gauge the amount of health cover you should have while in 50s, 60s and above i.e. what are the parameters on should take into account to decide on a figure.

  8. As a working woman – these topics come up a lot in discussion with my friends. Some of these may have already been covered in old posts on your blog:

    1. Importance of taking control of one’s finances

    2. Should finances be joint or separate from husband?

    3. How to protect one’s financial security post marriage

    4. Why it is important to prepare for the worst – death , divorce, etc

    5. How and why one should write a will

    6. Importance of planning for retirement – women should be more serious about this as their life expectancy is atleast 3-5 years more than men. Anecdotally – it is actually about 10 years. More women need to be prepared for this eventuality

    7. How to manage money DURING retirement and old age – most articles are about how to get to a retirement corpus. Some articles on how to manage money when one is say, 85 and in poor health would be useful. Useful vehicles like laddered annuities, reverse mortgage, etc for an investor who is in too poor health to do active management

    8. Common investing biases of women and how to avoid them (gold jewellery, real estate). A hard-hitting article on why gold jewellery is NOT the best investment would be great!

As you can see – most of the articles are more about behaviour/culture and that’s where I believe there is the biggest gap. After all – the market does not differentiate between a male or female investor!

  9. 1. Power of making choices ..( why rent instead of buy )
    2. Why gold and diamonds ? Material possession versus memories ..a travel may be
    3. Rent is not waste of money and emi equal to rent is myth if you include quality of life , distances etc etc
    4. Opportunity cost

    FIlady nailed it actually
