Most deserving to get a Bharat Ratna…sadly the political numbers do not add up. Neither as a Syrian Christian or as a son of Gujarat.

If there are 10 people in the country who have done so much for the upbringing of the country, one at the very top would be Dr. Kurien. From being an engineer to becoming the cause of the white revolution – and replicating it around the country, this man was great.

God does not make people like him any more…

I only wish he was treated better during his older age…he deserved more dignity than what was given.

Read a nice note by Kushwant Singh…a tribute to Dr. Kurien…Rip doctor…

  1. yes sir, today morning i read the news of his demise, and short biography in Gujarati newspaper, and understood he was awarded ‘PADVAVIBHUSAN’ along with Tibhovandas Patel, and i felt , why not awarded ‘BHARATRATNA’ . I was also myself not doing anything during life ! may his soul rest in peace.

  2. The authorities should not announce the BHARATRATNA posthumously. If they do so it will be an insult to the great person.
