I liked the way Debashis introduced Dr. Chakraborthy. Dr. C is a nice, simple person who is quite humble. Of course amongst all bankers I have met, he is perhaps the most outspoken.

Dr. Chakraborthy has always held that in a country where enough people do not have access to banking, they just have to open enough branches! When I broached the topic of training he said, first let us open enough branches. So true!!

I left as soon as Dr. C’s speech was over. Would have stayed on..but one retired bank employee’s time waste on ‘Ombudsman’ – convinced me that in a big forum, people should be asked to write the queries – and handled by the moderator…

Any way a good show..happy birthday kid, and both the parents – Debashis and Sucheta…may there be a silver birthday and a Golden..too…
