I have no interest in the Radia tapes. I have no view on Barkha or for that matter on N Ram or Shekhar Gupta.

Once upon a time (1977) I had a lot of respect for Indian Express, never trusted the other newspaper in Mumbai, read Illustrated Weekly for Kushwant Singh’s column, read Evening news and then Mid-day and then Afternoon for Busybee’s column.

Liked what Arun Shourie said, then enjoyed Swaminathan Ank…Iyer, …had a lot of respect for some journalists, had no respect for some others….

and i believed I judged a journalist by the cars they drove, the addresses they lived at, the hotels they went to….soon I started losing respect..

However here is a nice article..worth reading..

  1. Subra,

I drive around in a 1992 model Maruti, that I just had overhauled and feel comfortable in.

It also gave me relief from having to make a choice about dumping it for a more flashy model.

The city I drive in, is barely comfortable for a small car, the larger ones occupy large public spaces and leave nothing for the poor pedestrian.

  2. Subra Sir,
You r not interested in Radia tapes……Radia can even clean bold tata’s how come u r not interested…..r u joking or u believe in Dostana…..LOL
