Here is a question on index fund returns versus index growth
When I type sensex or nifty in google and see last 5 years, it has grown by over 100%
When I see the returns on index funds like nifty 50 or HDFC Index Fund for last 5 years, the highest return I see is 18%
where is the missing 80% if index funds are supposed to track indices, I am very confused
