1. The problem with economists, is that they think they are scientists. They come up with a formula like law of gravitation in physics. Then you cook up some numbers into a formula and then expect things will magically work as per formula. Despite of being wrong again and again year on year at this, they predict.

    If you were to see the advisory research reports of Mutual funds about a company in that they researched in the past, you feel like laughing at them. Here is story and numbers from a decent fund house in 2017 that ITC price will be 407 Rs a share. CMP is 282 today.

  2. For doubling in 3 years, it needs grow at 25%. Even If it grows at 20% per year, 10L will end up at 23Crore at the end of 30Years, instead of 100Crore. For few it may work out – law of probability or sheet luck.
