Doctors are not trained at all in money management. So when the qualify they start earning and need to invest they really do not know where to turn.

Here the problem starts. They forget that investing is a science too. Exactly like their profession. They think that somebody will come to them..and once they give the money and the signatures the money box will start clicking from then on ..on end!!

Sadly, this is not true. When you tell this to some other people – SUBTLE JEALOUSY creeps in. So the reaction is “easy come, easy go”. Doctor must have cheated his patience, therefore he has lost the money. I am not getting into the merits of this case.

Doctors do not know how to manage money and their EGO prevents them from asking. This is the worst thing that can happen.

Many pharma companies have engaged me for giving financial lectures to doctors..and I know it takes a lot of cajoling from the representatives to get the docs to attend. Sad, but true.

Take the case of 100 docs in Bengaluru (where I have ADDRESSED doctors at least on 4 occasions – about 230 docs). I hope those docs listened to me and did not fall for this ponzi scheme.

Feels sad….but having met docs..I am also convinced that they have to get over their own ego problem. If you come to a class with a closed mind..and closed eyes whose purpose does it serve?

  1. Subra sir
Firstly the article quoted applies to all people equally and is in no way specific only to the doctors

Secondly, when and where are you planning your next meeting for doctors. It will be a great help, if you can put in an adequate notice time

    Regards and thanks

I do not do doctors sessions on my own. Normally it is a pharma company which sponsors according to specialization – so opthal, gynaec, ent, cardio, ….I have addressed these groups in about 20 cities around the country..maybe more. Have been doing this for the past few years.

  3. Subra,

The link in above post looks unrelated to the post. Did you want to include different link?

    Thanks
