Whenever there is a major international competition India fares badly. So we all take out our anger on the politicians. We are quick to say “they do nothing”. Sure.

Another way to look at it is to say “Na Mo has only 24 hours..and he has very many important things to do…”

So like JF Kennedy said we can ask ourselves…”what have we done for our country”

One such person who keeps asking this question is an amazing runner Roshni Rai…a renowned runner…and she runs an organisation that helps runners from her home town. The famous ‘Gorkhas’ of the Gorkha Regiment. I have seen and met some of the runners. They are amazingly fast. Most of them can do the half marathon in under 90 minutes (the world record is 62 odd minutes)..and some of them do it in 70 odd minutes. Yes it takes a lot of effort to reach 63. It may even take a whole generation. Yes one of them will one day win some medal somewhere.

This is not about winning medals. This is about Roshni Rai dedicating her life to the cause. No cribbing about what the government can do, will do, must do….She has started a movement. This girl is lovely, and does a great job. I can assure you that all the money that you give will go towards a good cause. Now she has a cause..she needs to create coaches for her region…so here is a request. Read it. Every rupee counts. See what you can do. She needs just Rs. 200,000 for this cause. If she gets more she will use it for buying shoes. Tickets for reaching the venue. Running vests, socks, nutrition…she will surely not waste the money.

So guys n gals…open your purses to this lovely cause by a lovely dedicated girl. I can vouch for her.

Dear All,

Please find the link to the blog written by Ramesh Tamang from Team Run with Roshni.

http://runwithroshni.blogspot.in/2016/10/experience-of-winning-cross-country.html

Ramesh is a very talented runner. We are looking for sponsors to support his education. He is pursuing BPed, Bachelors in Physical Education.

For getting admission in Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE), Guwahati, apart from other test, there was a 1000mtrs race. Ramesh broke the record of university by running the distance of 1000mtrs in 2mins 37secs. Earlier record of University was 2hrs 40secs.

Ramesh came second in Running and Living Sikkim marathon, which was on 29th May, 2016 and he got the cash prize of Rs.50000/-. With that money he took admission in LNIPE, Guwahati. It will take 4yrs for Ramesh to complete BPed (Bachelors in Physical Education). His annual expenditure is Rs. 40000/-, which he was thinking to bear by winning the cash prizes in different marathons. However he says that he may not get the leave from University to participate in the marathons. Therefore, Run with Roshni Foundation has decided to help Ramesh by raising funds for his education. Run with Roshni Foundation is a registered Charity Trust, who can provide 80G Tax Exemption Certificate to all the donors. If you are interested to support Ramesh, please do write email to runwithroshni@gmail.com.
