Honestly, what changed for the common man after Raghuram Rajan became the RBI Governor?

  • did the quality of banking service improve?
  • did mis-selling stop?
  • were banks suddenly keen to grow the business and include everybody in the customer list?
  • Did you find the bank very friendly?
  • was your bank punished for messing up your TDS?

Well, well None of this is the JOB OF A RBI GOVERNOR….but one thing for sure…there was absolutely no attempt to improve the bank and customer interaction. No, banks did not improve, …no your service costs did not go down, bank profitability may have improved….

…not sure if we will miss him much….

  1. very nicely put. i think this is the state of the media for quite some time. people are so keen about macro events that may not have any relevance to them. i would much rather prefer that my local newspaper tells me that the parking lot at railway station is going to be closed for next 6 months for renovation – something that really affects people at ground level…

  2. Oh my god, Subra you are talking sense – you will be marked as a “bhakt” by the media.
Dont let facts come in the way of good old Modi/BJP bashing.
