No, this is not a very philosophical post!

Hindu mythology says a person should ask for alms only with his open arms. The person should give you food in your hand. A Brahmin is supposed to eat 3 times a day – both hands full. Scientifically this is also supposed to be the size of our stomachs.

I am not sure how far all this is true – I have read it somewhere, and do not remember even the source of such info.

Christianity also starts the prayer saying ‘Give us this day our daily bread….’ – have said this for 11 years in school..and I still like that ‘daily bread’ . Sure if God gave us more, we would like to store it – and then crib that it has gone stale!

So be happy today, do not worry about the past or the future. Enjoy your TODAY.

Live in the present and be happy 🙂

  1. Right said from your article. Many of them are fear about their future and they lose present time with happiness, Current time and situation is more important than past and future. But planning should be there and it makes a brighter future for us.

  2. It is like a batsman, who have 40 centuries under his belt, telling newcomer – “Enjoy your batting.”
Newcomer says “I cannot enjoy the batting. I want to get my first century asap.”
I am a newcomer in that sense.
