The kind of personal financial help that you get from professionals leaves a lot to be desired. This is true in US and UK.

In India of course you only have sales people – and caveat emptor prevails. You need to know what you are buying. However in countries which are far more law minded and regulated, you still have issues which are difficult to legislate.

For example in the UK and US your doc has to give you a leaflet about the medicines prescribed to you. To me this sounds like a joke in a world where people are more and more inclined to hear than to read. Be that as it may, even in those countries doctors play a dubious role.
